Kyowa Seiko is a manufacturing company that drives the future of the local community

Kyowa Seiko Co., Ltd. was founded in 1963 as a precision tool manufacturer in Tokyo, and is now an “Akita manufacturing company” with its head office and factory in Ugo-cho, Ogatsu-gun, Akita Prefecture. The head office and factory manufacture and sell precision cutting tools and wristwatches, and the watch manufacturing factory is located in Minase, Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, and there is also a sales office in Kashiwa, Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.

Cutting tool manufacturing and watch manufacturing seem to be two completely different businesses, but both are very closely related, requiring high-quality “precision.” By developing two businesses, Kyowa Seiko develops unique product manufacturing and manufacturing that can compete in the world.

Its technical capabilities are also utilized in watch manufacturing, and the special stepped drill used for drilling the crown part is widely used in the watch industry.

Kyowa Seiko’s own brand “MINASE” Japan’s watch

MINASE, which Kyowa Seiko launched as its own brand in 2005, carries out everything from design and development to manufacturing in-house. Using Kyowa Seiko’s specialty polishing technology, especially Zaratsu polishing technology, there are only a few engineers in Japan, so MINASE is a very valuable and world-class high-quality watch in the world.

The brand name “MINASE” is a tribute to the craftsmanship and skill of the Japanese craftsmen at the atelier in Minase, Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture.
Received the 2nd Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award, Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Director’s Award and the 2008 Tohoku Regional Invention Award, Akita Branch Manager’s Award.

MINASEのDIVIDO
It debuted at the 2019 German watch fair. The dial has a black gradation, expressing the world of Japanese ink painting.

The expression changes depending on the viewing angle, and is characterized by the complex brilliance of stacked polyhedrons.

It made its European debut in Geneva in 2018 and is now sold at two stores in Switzerland, gaining high support from overseas watch enthusiasts.

Okoshi Chu Mfg., Inc., a traditional craft Edo armor maker, announced the Armor Watch “Date Masamune” on the crowdfunding site Makuake from September 5th, the birthday of Masamune Date. It is a collaborative work of three companies: Kyowa Seiko, which makes the finest watch “MINASE” with the technology of manufacturing precision cutting tools, and Mr. Yusuke Taguchi, the designer who proposed this project.
