Gallery Inukai, which has been renovated as a gallery where you can appreciate the Meiji era houses that are more than 100 years old, is located in a quiet residential area on the side of the Toyohira River (Toyohira-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido). The old folk house was renovated as a gallery by Mr. Inukai from Douto University. The two-story wooden house of his grandfather, which was abandoned on the side of the house, was opened in August 2011 with a total of three art exhibition spaces on the second floor and the first floor, so that you can calmly appreciate the art with the warmth of the wooden building. In addition, the owner of the gallery dog raising has a deep knowledge of art and enjoys meeting various artists, and the gallery provides a wonderful space mainly for special exhibitions. If you would like to exhibit your work, please feel free to contact us through the inquiry form on the official website.
There are various plants in front of the entrance, and it feels a “GHIBLI”.
The interior is decorated with antique objects.
Son and his mother and want you to relax enjoy wonderful art, so the first floor is open as a cafe with them. Daily handmade desserts and food are offered at reasonable prices, and the café menu of Inukai is popular with locals as well as those who come all the way.
What I got this time was cream pasta and omelet rice, hot coffee and ice cafe latte. The omelette rice in the back of the photo was made by a person at a café called pool, it is very delicious with old-fashioned thin-baked eggs, and it is also popular on review sites! It is not in this photo, but the pudding is also very delicious, so please try it!
I highly recommend the pasta and the omelet!
