INTEX OSAKA is an int’l MICE that hosted the G20 Osaka Summit
INTEX OSAKA, which was established in Suminoe Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture in 1985, is the largest exhibition center in western Japan with a total exhibition area of 70,000 square meters and a site area of 120,000 square meters. Adjacent to the hotel, restaurants, shopping, conference halls, large-scale exhibition halls, and other comprehensive commercial facilities, it is bustling as the core facility of the Osaka Bay Area.
INTEX OSAKA WEST GATE
More than 200 events are held each year, with over 3 million visitors. Various events (Medical Japan Osaka) such as large-scale seminars, academic conferences, and incentive parties were held, and in June 2019, it was also used as the venue for the G20 Osaka Summit. INTEX OSAKA is a facility that represents MICE* in western Japan and is operated by the Osaka International Economic Promotion Center.
*MICE is a coined word using the initials of Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention, and Exhibition/Event, and is a general term for these business events.
