Kanei Hitokoto Seicha has been making high-quality and safe tea for 150 years since it was founded in Shimada in 1865, focusing solely on “genuine aroma and taste” as a long-established store in tea field of Shizuoka.

A handful of tea leaves are graciously grown and made into the best green tea through about 10 steps. Then, enjoy the tea that has been carefully brewed, talk, communicate, and enjoy a fulfilling and abundant time. In this way, a cup of green tea is filled with the thoughts of many people. The mellow drops of green tea are full of Japanese tradition and aesthetics.

Shizuoka has been known as a famous tea producing area for a long time because its natural environment such as climate and terrain is suitable for tea cultivation. In particular, with the opening of Yokohama Port in 1859, tea became a major export product of Japan, and tea gardens were opened in various parts of the prefecture, and the tea industry has made great progress.

Shizuoka Prefecture now accounts for 50% of Japan’s tea production and distributing is shared nearly 70%. In Shimada City, the center of Shizuoka, we at Kanei Hitokoto Seicha have been providing wonderful tea for 150 years.
