The Chubu region consists of nine prefectures: Aichi, Shizuoka, Nagano, Mie, Gifu, Toyama, Ishikawa, Yamanashi, and Fukui. , Fukui), the inland Central Highlands (Yamanashi, Nagano, Gifu), and the Tokai region facing the Pacific Ocean (Shizuoka, Aichi).
