Chubu Region Local Guide Biz is a website that introduces information about Chubu region (Aichi Prefecture, Shizuoka Prefecture, Nagano Prefecture, Mie Prefecture, Gifu Prefecture, Toyama Prefecture, Ishikawa Prefecture, Yamanashi Prefecture, Fukui Prefecture) in a directory format. This site provides information about restaurants, stores, companies, organizations, exhibitions events, famous sightseeing spots, demonstration experiments. Population, GDP and Tourism
The Chubu region consists of nine prefectures: Aichi, Shizuoka, Nagano, Mie, Gifu, Toyama, Ishikawa, Yamanashi, and Fukui. , Fukui), the inland Central Highlands (Yamanashi, Nagano, Gifu), and the Tokai region facing the Pacific Ocean (Shizuoka, Aichi).
The population and GDP of the Chubu region is the second largest among the Tohoku (including Hokkaido), Kanto, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu (including Okinawa) regions, and is the region that drives the Japanese economy.
In addition, the Chubu region, which is located in the center of both the Tokyo and Osaka metropolitan areas, has a regional structure in which a group of highly independent cities surround Nagoya and its core in a “Q” shape. There is a cluster of internationally competitive manufacturing industries centering on Aichi Prefecture, and a cluster of medical industries in Shizuoka Prefecture.
The Chubu region accounts for 16.5% (20,774,000) of Japan’s total population (126,167,000). It accounts for 17.6% of 588.053 billion yen. In addition, the GDP growth rate in 2018 was 2.4%, the highest among regions.
In terms of tourism, the total number of visitors to the Chubu region, a domestic travel destination in 2019, was 162.52 million, accounting for 19.0% of the national total of 853.23 million visitors. 中部地方 内で国の「SDGs未来都市に」選ばれた都道府県・市町村
愛知がSDGs未来都市に多く選定、自治体SDGsモデルは富山と岐阜
中部地方で SDGs未来都市 に選定された県・市町村で最も多い (2021年11月時点) のは愛知県で、愛知県と豊田市、名古屋市、豊橋市、岡崎市、小牧市、知立市の7つ。その次に多いのは、石川県で珠洲市、白山市、小松市、金沢市、加賀市、能美市の6つで、うち金沢市は自治体SDGsモデル事業にも選定。その次は静岡県で、静岡市、浜松市、富士市、掛川市、富士宮市の5つ。次に長野県と岐阜県がそれぞれ4つ選定され、長野県では、長野県と大町市、長野市、伊那市の4つ。岐阜県では、岐阜県と岐阜市、高山市、美濃加茂市の4つ、うち岐阜市と美濃加茂市の2つが自治体SDGsモデル事業に選定。
